Kid Phantom with legendary Phantom cartoonist Sy Barry!

A huge thank you to writer/actor Duncan Munro for snapping this recently in New York City; a 'Friends of the Phantom' Meet up to celebrate The Phantom's 84th Birthday, and its longtime illustrator's birthday of Sy Barry.

Sy Barry illustrated the King Features strip for 3 decades with writer and character creator Lee Falk, and to say he influenced a generation of illustrators of the Phantom worldwide is an understatement to his importance to the comic. I thought it would be nice to include a homage to Sy in the recent Kid Phantom special #1, written by Andrew Constant, where Sy appears as the friendly general store owner in Clarksville, where the young Phantom will spend his schooling years growing up.

It was amazingly kind of Duncan to share the comic with Sy, and I thank him again for the picture and Sy's "seal of approval".
