THE PHANTOM: TREASURES OF DRAKON:

The Official Boardgame

(Frew Games/Wynnter Games/White Cat Press)

"The island of Drakon is home to Princess Sin's temple hideout. Unfortunately it's sinking and honest or evil, you must save the treasures that ultimately aid your final cause. The temple is filled with hidden pathways, booby traps, sacred rooms and of course - treasure."

- The Phantom: Treasures of Drakon.

For the first time, Frew Publications as "Frew Games" entered the board game market with conception and partnership with Alex Wynnter and Dale Maccanti of Wynnter Games/White Cat Press to create their first officially licensed 'The Phantom' board game, The Phantom: Treasures of Drakon. The game is based on the the Team Fantomen/Phantom comic  3-part story 'Pirates of the Red Dragon', originally published by Egmont, and published by Frew.

Designed and written by Wynnter and Maccanti, the board game art is created by Frew co-director and long-time Phantom illustrator Glenn Ford, and Frew cover artist Jamie Johnson, with a solo KID PHANTOM campaign Kid Phantom : Battle for Drakon, written by game writer Dale Maccanti and illustrated by Paul Mason. The box cover art is by Daniel Picciotto, and the 3D Game pieces were sculpted by Julian Briones.

"The game features "...a mechanic that allows the players to create a playable comic. It will look like a collection of daily strips that will change every time you play."- Alex Wynnter.

The game was successfully funded on Kickstarter in 2019, with help of the launch coming from comedian and Phantom enthusiast, Sammy J (ABC MelbourneHero Complex, Playground Politics, Sammy J and Randy in Ricketts Lane).

The game is now available from Frew Publications, Popcultcha, Gameology and where all good board games are sold around Australia!
